Took this out in a proper downpour last weekend and stayed bone dry the whole hike, the waterproofing on the zippers and seams really does its job. Wind never cut through either, which surprised me for how light it packs down.
Finally a jacket that actually keeps the wind from cutting through during exposed ridge hikes. The waterproofing held up through a full afternoon of drizzle and the hood stayed put even in gusts. Sizing runs a bit roomy, which I appreciate for layering underneath.
